December 2011 Newsletter
With 2011 drawing to a close and the holidays
quickly approaching we would like to take this
opportunity to say we are thankful to have you as
our customer. And, a special thanks to those that
thought highly enough about our service to
recommend us to their friends and relatives. We
strive to provide exceptional service and 100%
customer satisfaction every time we have the
pleasure to serve you.
The People In Need (PIN) toy drive held at Roop
Brothers was a great success. The toys collected
will benefit local children and families who are
less fortunate. Thanks to everyone who
contributed.
Amanda Plumbing is starting its 17th year in
business and with that comes a new automated
dispatch system that will allow us to serve you
faster and better. Please be patient as there
will be a few bumps along the road, but we will
maintain our high service standards.
With winter sneaking up on us, please double
check to make sure you disconnect your hoses from
outside faucets. If the hose is left connect it
could cause the otherwise freeze proof faucet to
freeze and burst. This could result in a high
water bill and a flooded basement.
The snow will be here soon which can add some
additional complications for those of with sump
pump drain holes at the curb. The snow plows and
freezing temperatures can cause these drain holes
to become clogged and prevent the sump pump from
working correctly. We recommend you check your
drain and sump pump operation frequently during
the winter months.
If you use heat tapes to keep pipes from
freezing, make sure they are plugged in and
working properly. Also, if you live in a mobile
home, make sure your skirting is attached and
secure from wind, as wind contributes to freezing.
The Amanda Plumbing Family would like to wish you
and your family a safe and happy holiday!
