November 2011 Newsletter
Well October has come and gone, it seems rather
quickly. November to me always marks the start of
the holiday season. Time to start hanging
decorations and of course the deer stands.
Spending the time to figure out where that holiday
wreath may look best, I spend that time scouting
for the right buck!
It seems that temperatures are dropping down
below freezing a little early this year. For those
of you that need to get things winterized, there
isn’t much time left. So give our friendly staff a
call and schedule those winterizations.
Please remember to unhook your outside water
hoses from the hose valve, as they will not drain
down properly and could cause freezing and
bursting. When the temperatures drop so
dramatically like they have, those hose valves
become very vulnerable. With the temperatures
rising and falling between day and night, that
could cause your foundations to shift . It could
also cause water and sewer lines to break.
Also older hot water heaters will start leaking
due to the temperature changes. I would venture to
say it won’t be long before snow starts to fall.
Remember to keep curb holes clears for your rain
drains out to the street.
Winter months slow down slightly for us plumbers,
it’s a great time to think about replacing old
kitchen and bathroom faucets and doing some of
those little projects you have been putting off.
Remember, that with all new lavatory bath faucets,
comes a new pop up drain assembly.
We carry a nice selection of Delta and Gerber
solid brass faucets, all with a lifetime warranty
or if you find something you like in another
store, we would be happy to install your faucets
or fixtures for you.
The Amanda Plumbing Family would like to wish all
of our loyal customers a safe and Happy
Thanksgiving!
